A long time supporter of Pedestrian, former Sneaky Sound System MC and Arts industry champion Daimon Downey is holding his first solo exhibition of his artwork opening tonight. He would like to invite any Pedestrian readers who are in Sydney this evening to join him for a drink and check out his graphic, colourful mixed media show of sculpture and acrylic paintings, staged as a pop up gallery in Potts Point.
Daimon told Pedestrian his artwork takes its inspiration from “psychological bridges – getting over layers and layers mental bridges.” He said creating the works gave him “a new found appreciation and love of colours and balance, and the challenge of working out how to control that. My new found obsession is with fluoros. Fluoro is the new black.”
