Conan Found The Wolverine Audition Tapes Of Nick Offerman, Betty White, And Others

It’s COMIC CON, y’all! For the next few days you’ll be able to live vicariously via the majesty of the internet as the world’s comic, film, TV, and pop culture obsessives descend upon San Diego en masse for a few days of cosplay, Q&A, and general fun and frivolity.

Hell, the event’s so massive that Conan O’Brien has pulled up stumps from his usual Los Angeles home to travel down the highway for the week, filming four nights worth of shows from the Spreckels Theatre in downtown SD.
And because it’s Comic Con, O’Brien dug one out of the ole’ Hollywood archives. With Hugh Jackman officially stepping away from the role of Wolverine after 15 years.
But Hollywood, it stops for no man. Particularly when a wildly profitable film franchise is there to be taken advantage of. So studios have been hard at work searching for Jackman’s replacement.
Conan unearthed the “audition tapes” of a number of surprising faces who have all put their hands up for the gig, including Nick Offerman, Betty White, Hannibal Buress, Patton Oswalt, Kristen Schaal (whose agent may have steered her in the wrong direction that day) and others.

Our vote? The darkhorse Thomas Middleditch. Only for the ridiculous Silicon Valley crossover potential it has. Richard Hendricks finally gets pushed too far and pops a fist blade up against Gavin Belson’s face? DOLLARS. MILLIONS OF DOLLARS.
