Cole Sprouse Speaks On Dealing With Anxiety Since His Disney Channel Days

Ya boy Jughead AKA Cole Sprouse AKA Cody from Disney‘s iconic show The Suite Life of Zach and Cody landed ASOS Magazine’s 100th cover and when he wasn’t posing for some swoon-worthy pics, he opened up about growing up in the spotlight.

The 25-year-old sat down with the fashion retailer to shoot the breeze, revealing that “being raised in a soundstage” eventually took its toll on him.

“I don’t have to deal with anxiety as much as I used to. It’s the scariest thing, but you have to look it right in the eye and understand it’s not going anywhere.

“Once I found a confidence in myself and how I interacted with the world around me, all of a sudden, people weren’t criticising me the way they used to when I was consistently thinking about it.”

That’s not entirely surprising, child actors aren’t really known for their healthy outlook on life and being a Disney alumni must have been a bloody trip in itself.

He also spoke on acting and the role it plays in his life… specifically how he envisions acting won’t be playing a significant part in his life.

“I can envision a time when there is no acting in my life,” Cole admits. “Would I like that? I don’t necessarily think so. It still brings me a lot of passion, but I’m in a place now where acting is no longer a necessity—if it stops becoming enjoyable, I won’t do it anymore.”
