Clear Your Eyes, ‘Cause ‘Friday Night Lights’ Is Having A 10-Year Reunion

Super Bowl 50 is going down in San Francisco in under 48 hours, but the single most important football event of the year will go down in Texas. Specifically, Friday Night Lights‘ hallowed Panther Field, where the cult show will be staging a reunion to commemorate a decade since the series first emerged, clear-eyed and full-hearted on our TV screens.

No names have been put down as of yet, but it’ll be mighty odd to see Michael B. Jordan back in town after his motion picture dominance; same goes for Taylor Kitsch after his brooding turn in True Detective, let alone Jesse Plemons after he embodied everything wrong with the planet in Breaking Bad.

To give the fully heightened drama of the American amateur teenage sports experience, there’s also gonna be a pep rally and a tailgate. Natch.

The event will go down between June 9 and 12 in Austin, Texas – of course. It’s slated to be part of the larger ATX Television Festival, which will also boasts panels, talks and roundtables with the brains behind The O.C, The Wire, Oz, Jane The Virgin and UnReal.

Now, if you excuse us, we have some Explosions In The Sky to listen to.
