Seems Like The US Bachelorette Who Yeeted From The Show Mid-Season Got Dumped Via Instagram

Clare Crawley and Dale Moss Breakup Statement

Clare Crawley, last year’s US Bachelorette who bailed out mid-season because she’d already found her man, has released a statement about her split from her chosen bae, Dale Moss, and folks, it’s grim, love is a lie, etcetera.

The couple got engaged during last year’s Bachelorette season, with Clare deciding to leave the show after less than two weeks of filming to be with Dale. She was then replaced by Tayshia Adams, who chose Zac Clark in the finale, before they too promptly got engaged.

Earlier this week, Dale told his fans on Instagram that he and Clare had broken up. And he used a lot of first person plurals to talk about the end of their engagement (“We”, “Us”, etc).

“I wanted share with you all that Clare and I have decided to go our separate ways. We appreciate the love and support we’ve received from so many people, but this is the healthiest decision for both of us at this time,” he wrote.

“We strongly believe in leading with love and always remaining true to oneself – something our families have taught and instilled in us throughout our lives. We only hope the best things for one another.”

Clare, however, appears to have been blindsided by the breakup, writing in her own on Instagram earlier today that she read their so-called “‘mutual’ statement” at the same time as everyone else.

“I was made aware of a ‘mutual’ statement at the same time you all were, so I’ve  needed some time to really digest this,” she began.

“Speaking for myself, my intentions with this relationship have always been very clear, so the truth is I am crushed.

“This was not what I expected or hoped for and am still trying to process this.”

In her post, she explained that she suffered from severe anxiety after The Bachelorette, while also “slowly losing [her] mother” to Alzheimer’s and dementia. She also explained the difficulty of being in a new relationship in the public eye.

“Our relationship was not perfect, but I can say that I was genuinely invested with all of my heart,” she added. “I may not have all the answers, but I do know this- I will continue to show up, stand by my word and be committed to love.”

The couple were last sharing loved up posts earlier this month, with Clare sharing a pic by the beach in California on January 10, and Dale last posting a video singing in the car with Clare on January 6.

Oooft, this one certainly seems to have come out of nowhere.

Clare Crawley first appeared on The Bachelor US in season 18. At 39 years old, she became the oldest Bachelorette in the show’s history last year.

It fkn sucks that Clare gave up a chance to pursue love with one of her other suitors in order to be with Dale Moss, only for him to drop her so publicly about six months later, seemingly without a word in person. This is why I don’t date.
