Claire Foy is nominated for a Golden Globe for her portrayal of Queen Elizabath in the right royal prestige drama The Crown, and she is currently on the US talk show circuit, where she’s proving to be an absolute bloody delight.
During a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, she got around to the topic of one of her more awkward celebrity encounters, with Oscar and four-time Golden Globe winner Kate Winslet.
After being rebuffed by the actress’ publicist, Foy and and her friend decided to have a red hot go at introducing themselves, and needless to say, it didn’t go very well.
Foy’s category, Best Actress in a TV Drama, has some stiff competition, including Winona Ryder from Stranger Things, Keri Russell from The Americans and Evan Rachel Wood from Westworld.
Hopefully she doesn’t have a similar encounter with any of them.
