When rain, an umbrella, alcohol, Leslie Jones and Chrissy Teigen are in the same vicinity, hilarity is sure to follow, as was the case during NBC’s special broadcast of New Year’s Eve in Times Square on Monday night.

Weather conditions were a little less than ideal on the last night of 2018 and therefore Leslie Jones was forced to wield an umbrella to protect herself from the rain.
During the broadcast, Teigen, a high-level hugger, went to embrace her umbrella-holding friend, only to catch the business end of the brolly smack-bang in the face.
The hilarious footage was quick to go nuts online and has already become THE viral vid of 2019 and literally nothing over the next 12 months will top this.

In true Teigen fashion, she riffed on the funny mishap via Twitter, writing:
“I’m okay!” she joked. “7am. Heading back out to Time’s Square to find my eyeball.”
Jones later apologised to her pal for clobbering her in the face with her brolly.
“Ugh I can’t believe I hit @ChrissyTeigen in face!! Lordt!! I love you boo!! So Sorry. #ThatsWhyIHateUmbrellas,” she wrote, to which Chrissy responded: “Eye’m Fine baby. I hug too hard what I can say.”
Ok so since we’ve been given the confirmation that Chrissy’s a-okay, we totally have guilt-free permission to watch it on repeat and laugh our bottoms off.
