An Extremely Cute Luna Recreated Her Mama Chrissy Teigen’s Iconic Meme Face

Luna Stephens

Little Luna Stephens has followed in her mama’s footsteps and become a meme. The daughter of Chrissy Teigen and John Legend entered headlines after she unknowingly recreated Chrissy’s iconic cringe / crying face meme – a favourite in pop culture – born at the 2015 Golden Globes ceremony.

The cringe / crying face, it runs in the family.

Chrissy uploaded a side-by-side comparison of the two pictures and captioned it: “O dear”.

The three-year-old had been visiting her papa on the set of The Voice. She, uh, might not be a fan of the show.

Elsewhere, Teigen recently opened up about suffering from postpartum depression. The cookbook author appeared on USA Today for Maternal Mental Health Month to speak candidly about the time following her pregnancy and her 2017 essay about PPD for Glamour . In it, she shared how unhappy she had felt for almost a year after the birth of Luna even though she “had everything I needed to be happy.”

She wrote:

What basically everyone around me—but me—knew up until December was this: I have postpartum depression. How can I feel this way when everything is so great? I’ve had a hard time coming to terms with that, and I hesitated to even talk about this, as everything becomes such a “thing.”

“I didn’t really realise it until I’d written an article with Glamour Magazine and spoken out about it how many women are going through this,” she told USA Today. “I think more than anything I’ve ever done, more women on the street come up to me and talk about that article than anything else.”

Teigen said she had initially thought the depression was just part of being a new mum.

“Since it happened with Luna, it happened with my first one, I just didn’t know that there was any other way to feel,” she shared. “I thought it was very natural to be in this low, low point and I just assumed that was motherhood and there was no other way around it.”

Teigen said she didn’t properly acknowledge how she was feeling until after her friends and family started to comment on her behavioural changes. She hopes that by talking about postpartum depression publicly, she’ll help shed the stigma surrounding it.
