Chrissy Teigen Dragged The Entire Ben Affleck Dating Video Saga And She Is 100% Not Wrong

Chrissy Teigen, Ben Affleck

Chrissy Teigen has (of course) added her two cents to the discourse surrounding Ben Affleck, who went viral after he sent a woman a video on Instagram asking why she unmatched him on elite dating app, Raya. It’s been a weird week, tell ya what.

Earlier this week, actress Nivine Jay dragged herself on TikTok after she unmatched with a bloke on Raya who she thought was pretending to be Ben Affleck.

“Thinking of the time I matched with Ben Affleck on Raya and thought it was fake so I unmatched him and he sent me a video on Instagram,” Nivine said.

In the video sent to her by Affleck, the actor said, “Nivine, why did you unmatch me? It’s me.”

The video went viral, opening up a whole discourse that basically pulled the TikTok apart. Some people thought it was really fucking weird that Ben Affleck went out of his way to send Nivine the video on Instagram, while others just thought he was being funny.

It also led to conversations about whether or not it’s ever okay to share private videos or messages from celebrities, just because they’re celebs.

This really came into play after another TikTok user, 19-year-old @kittynichole, posted and then deleted her FaceTime date with Friends star Matthew Perry. But the actor didn’t know he was being filmed.

The TikTok user, whose real name is Kate Haralson, said she deleted the clip because people were bullying her over it. She later told Page Six that she wanted the TikTok to expose older men in Hollywood for “taking advantage” of young women on dating apps.

“A lot of people were saying I’m a bully and mean for posting this, and it made me feel kind of bad, but at the same time, I feel like a lot of guys in Hollywood are talking to all these young girls and it’s something that I think a lot of people should be aware of,” Kate said.

But if you ask Chrissy Teigen, nobody comes out of this situation with a gold star.

“I agree celebs shouldn’t be making these creepy desperate video replies on Raya but it’s tacky to release private messages,” Chrissy tweeted.

“Ya both wrong, congrats.”

Pretty much, to be honest.

This entire chapter has taken up my shower thoughts this week and I can’t help but agree with Chrissy here.
