Bachelor Chris Soules Gets Two-Year Suspended Sentence For Fatal Crash

Chris Soules

Chris Soules, who once appeared as The Bachelor in the US version of the show, has been handed a two-year suspended sentence over his role in a fatal car crash.

In April of 2017, Soules was driving a pick-up trick in rural Aurora, Iowa when he rear-ended a tractor driven by 66-year-old Kenneth Mosher.

He left the scene of the accident before police arrived, and was arrested at his home in Arlington soon after. Mosher was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

In November of last year, the former reality star entered a conditional guilty plea to the charge of leaving the scene of an accident resulting in serious injury.

Prosecutors recommended a two-year suspended sentence, and he accepted this, meaning he’ll spend the next two years on probation.

He will also be fined US$625, in addition to a 35 percent surcharge and court costs.
