Just over a month after one of the most unexpected and oddly affecting celebrity splits in recent memory, Chris Pratt has managed to stomp on our hearts once more by praising former partner Anna Faris’ Emmys showing.
It’s so hard to take, ’cause they still seem like such lovely humans.
Speaking to a TMZ cameraman while taking an evening wander, Pratt explained that he hadn’t actually been invited to the Emmys. The Guardians Of The Galaxy gun explained “I haven’t checked my mailbox lately, though.”
When pressed on the appearance of Faris, who appeared alongside Mom co-star Alison Janney to present the award for Best Variety Show, Pratt said “I know she did great.
“Anna did an amazing job, man. She rules. Her and Alison, they both looked great.”
Then came a call to action: “Go watch Mom on CBS.”
That little snippet of their lives post-split seems commensurate with the notice Faris gave fans when they first went busto, which declared “we still love each other and will cherish our time together.”
We understand mending relationships between celebrities isn’t as easy as smashing Barbies together and declaring their undying love, but let the record show that if we could, we absolutely would.
