Half Man, Half Machine Chris Hemsworth Is Apparently Too Swole For His Body Double To Keep Up

We all knew Chris Hemsworth was a big unit, but did you know that he’s now so big that even his body double can’t keep up with him?

Speaking to Fitzy and Wippa on Monday, Bobby Holland Hanton (Hemsworth’s body double) told the radio duo that he is eating seven meals a day just to try and keep up with the Thor actors size.

“Everyone is like ‘Wow look at the size of him’ and I’m like yeah that’s brilliant, I’m that guy’s double’, so I text him, I’m like, ‘Thanks very much dude, you’ve just made this even harder,’” Hanton said.

Both Hanton and Hemsworth are on the same training and diet routine, but even so, Hanton can’t seem to keep up.

“Every two hours we are eating, it’s become a chore. I don’t enjoy eating at all. Every two hours it’s like get calories in, training twice a day, it’s full on,” he told Fitzy and Wippa.

“We’re training so much, we are packing on so much size, it’s difficult on the body.

“I find carrying around the extra weight is difficult and hard to maintain on the ligaments.”

Hanton is an absolute unit himself though, performing such death-defying stunts that he can’t get health or life insurance.

Last year, mad-dog Hanton had to get back surgery after his stunt double role in the movie Extraction. That film featured the longest fight scene in a movie ever, clocking in at 13 minutes.

Hanton has worked on a tonne of blockbuster films such as: Wonder Woman, Star Wars Episode VII The Force Awakens, Skyfall, Avengers: Age of Ulton, Thor, Batman: The Dark Knight Rises, Quantum of Solace, Harry Potter, Captain America and Pirates of the Caribbean.

It truly does take a machine to play a machine.
