Chris Brown’s Accuser Allegedly Sent Texts Planning To Stitch Him Up

Before we begin here, we absolutely need to stress that this is an on-going legal case that the Los Angeles Police Department is investigating, and has so far seen fit to arrest and book Chris Brown on charges of assault with a deadly weapon. Brown, for whatever this is worth, has used the *very, very serious* situation as a chance to release and promote his new single.

Regardless of the veracity of the following yarn, he’s still a real-life human being who actually did that.
Now then, the case of Brown’s most recent arrest (which followed a tense stand-off between himself and police after he more or less barricaded himself inside his own home) continues to get weirder and weirder, as celebrity muck-raker TMZ “uncovers” more alleged information about his the movements of his accuser, model Baylee Curran.
The gossip service is reporting that they have received copies of a text allegedly sent by Curran after she was kicked out of Brown’s house, reportedly claiming intent to set Brown up on weapons charges.
The alleged text, sent to an “acquaintance” simply known as “Safari,” reads as follows:

“Hey safari don’t you know this freak Chris brown is kicking me out of his house because I called his friend jewelry fake can you come get me my Uber is messing up if not I’m going to set him up and call the cops and say that he tried to shoot me and that will teach him a lesson I’m going to set his ass up. Lol come get me.”

Safari” then responds with discouragement of the plan. TMZ claims the texts are in the hands of Brown’s legal team, who are attempting to verify their authenticity.

It should absolutely be pointed out that even TMZ’s account of the story is confusing as all get-up; the article posted contains this paragraph that we cannot make heads or tails of.

“Here’s what’s interesting. She refers to an Uber “messing up.” We’ve learned the guy who picked her up from Chris’ house first called for a Lyft to pick her up but when the driver showed, she was hiding under a car, so the Lyft driver left. How would Safari know that?”

The TMZ article also reports that Curran and “Safari” had not spoken in over a year prior to this incident.

So, yeah. Take this development with all the grains of salt in the world, we reckon.
Once again, LAPD did arrest Chris Brown and booked him on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon. So there’s at least something to that.
