Other than being a fun excuse to put much, much more Amy Schumer on my TV screen, the MTV Movie Awards also serve as a conveniently large audience for film studios to pair up with MTV and premiere a bunch of cool, as-yet-unseen stuff.
Beyond all the glitz and glamour and cats and popcorn statues, this year’s award ceremony did not even remotely disappoint with the unveiling of a swathe of sneak peaks at some of the year’s biggest upcoming films.
One such monster which we’re all absolutely frothing over is the impending release of Pitch Perfect 2, starring a mega-batch of legends like Anna Kendrick, Skylar Astin, Brittany Snow, Hailee Steinfeld, Katey Segal, Elizabeth Banks and our own Rebel Wilson.
Wilson herself was on-hand to introduce an exclusive new clip from the film – and then subsequently slay us all to death by rocking up to the post-show media pit rocking angel wings and black leggings that bring tears of joy and pride to the eye. YASS KWEEN.
If 90s hip hop jamz are your thing (and if they’re not, we suggest checking your damned pulse) then this is going to be right up your alley. Hell, it’s worth it just to play spot the notable background actor. Reggie Watts! Jason Jones! David Cross!
