Check Out Arnie’s New Animated Series, ‘The Governator’

God love Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Having served for eight years as the Governor of California and been tagged with the nickname ‘The Governator’, the now-retired actor-slash-politician has taken self-flagellation to the next level. Of awesome. The Governator will be Arnie’s first foray into showbiz since returning to the life of a private citizen, and will be an animated TV series. Apparently there’s also a 3D movie in the pipeline, set to be co-produced by Marvel Comics legend Stan Lee. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Arnie said of the series: It takes my entire career, basically, whether it is bodybuilding, action movies, if it is the governorship, it takes all those things and combines it into one, and makes it into ‘The Governator’. That guy is designed to fight crime, to fight natural disasters, this guy will be jumping into action.. and he will eliminate the problems. We think this is a far more achievable goal than running for President or Chair of The Reserve Bank, which are pretty much the only two things the Terminator star hasn’t done yet.

Bonus points for keeping every single one of the man’s muscles in perfect proportion, as well as the animation style which makes Schwarzenegger looks a hell of a lot like Captain Planet. We’re deducting for Black Eyed Peas, though. Clearly this kind of action hero calls for a Slayer theme song or something.
