In an extremely candid moment, actress Charlize Theron has opened up about he dating life, telling Entertainment Tonight that she is “shockingly available” and ready for someone to date her.
The South African-born actress is currently promoting the movie Long Shot, in which she plays a US presidential hopeful who finds herself in a romance with her speech writer (Seth Rogen).
Speaking about her current romantic prospects, Theron said: “I’ve been single for 10 years, it’s not a long shot. Somebody just needs to grow a pair and step up. I’m shockingly available.”
Her co-star Rogen said “she’s out there!”, to which she replied “I’ve made it very clear.”
Charlize Theron dated Third Eye Blind singer Stephan Jenkins for three years, and from 2002 to 2010, was in a relationship with Irish actor Stuart Townsend.
She then dated Sean Penn for two years, announcing an engagement in 2014 before splitting in 2015, so it’s not clear where the 10 years comes from but I guess she would know.
In more recent times, there were rumours of a thing between her and Brad Pitt, and a “source” claimed that they were “all over each-other” at a pre-Oscars function, but I guess that wasn’t a thing after all.
After Long Shot, Charlize Theron is set to provide the voice of Morticia Addams in the upcoming, animated Addams Family film, and will then star in Atomic Blonde 2.
