Whether you like it or not, the Charlie’s Angels reboot is coming and by the looks of things, y’all don’t like it. At all.

Entertainment Weekly dropped a bunch of pics from the forthcoming revival starring Kristen Stewart (AKA Bella Swan), Naomi Scott (who plays Jasmine in the live-action Aladdin flick) and British newcomer Ella Balinska as the three butt-kicking babes.
Joining them is Elizabeth Banks who will play the new incarnation of Bosley and will direct the flick.
The movie also stars hotties Noah Centineo (To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, Sierra Burgess Is a Loser) and Sam Claflin (Hunger Games).
In the interview, Banks insists that this version is not a reboot, but rather a “continuation” that incorporates the events of the series and the flicks starring Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu.
The film takes place in the present day after 40 years of the crime fighting company, helmed by Charlie.
“If you were rich in 1976, you only got richer,” Banks, who co-wrote the script, says with a laugh. “Charles Townsend is richer than ever, so he’s grown the business into a global spy agency.”
There are various throwbacks to the original flicks, as evidenced by the pics, as the characters dress up in crazy costumes while undercover as they travel to Istanbul, Hamburg, and Berlin.
“It was important to me to make a movie about women working together and supporting each other, and not make a movie about their romantic entanglements or their mother they don’t call enough,” Banks says.
“When I’m at work, I don’t talk about those things. I get on with my job. It felt important to do that for the Angels, to treat them with the respect their skill set demands.”
And as for Charlie, the mystery man behind it all, Banks says that his voice is one we’ll recognise.
“The voice will sound very familiar to you,” she teases. “We tried to emulate John Forsythe’s voice as best as we could. We want a real sense of continuity in the movie.”
“It’s a really exciting moment for female-driven films,” Banks adds. “Audiences are really looking for those aspirational stories about real and relatable characters, and I think the women in my movie are definitely real and relatable, but most importantly, I think they’re really fun.”
But while the actress/writer/director is brimming with enthusiasm over the project, reviews from EW‘s followers were less than kind and the pics have been pummelled with neggo comments.
