…comes another shot at a Charlie’s Angels reboot, this time with excellent human being Elizabeth Banks at the helm.
She’s set to direct and produce the crap out of this thing alongside her producing partner / husband Max Handelman, according to THR.
Once Sony’s done inking that deal, a writer will be found, and – eventually – the actors angels.
And we know we know we know – HOW can you improve upon Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, Lucy Liu and Bill Murray? Well, the answer is: you can’t. But you can try something new.
Since it’s inception as a TV series in the ’70s, the Charlie’s Angels franchise has been a bit hit-and-miss – see: Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle – but jeeeeeesus, E-Banks is going to fucking slay this one. She had her directional debut with Pitch Perfect 2, FFS. She’s got this.
All extremities are currently crossed that Anna Kendrick‘s in it, just FYI.
