Charli D’Amelio‘s dad shut down a guy who asked if he could date his daughter. And OOFT that’s gotta hurt.
Marc D’Amelio tweeted an Instagram video of his daughter Dixie doing what she does best and that’s lip syncing. He was clearly proud of his daughter and you know what? Each to their own. Some dads are proud of their daughters for finishing a five year medical degree and others are proud of their daughters for lip syncing. (I do think she may be lip syncing her own song, BUT STILL…)
However, one bloke saw it as an opportunity to ask Marc for permission to date his daughter, Charli. He was having none of it, of course. Because it’s one thing to have gross dudes ogle your underage daughter on an app, but it’s another to have a young man ask your daughter out.

Rogan didn’t back down though, asking the question in multiple different ways with the hope that Marc might say yes. He didn’t. But I can always admire a guy who tries to shoot his shot.

But how do we know this guy doesn’t just want Charli for fame or for her millions of dollars?? Well, as the viral TikTok sound so succinctly puts it: “I guess we’ll never know.”
At the end of 2020, Charli D’Amelio became the first person to surpass 100 million TikTok followers, which is four times the Aussie population. Wow. I don’t even like people I know saying hi to me at the supermarket, so having 100 million knowing who I am??? No, thanks.
