Chace Crawford Got “A Lot Of Weird DMs” After That Spandex-Clad Bulge Pic

Chace Crawford

A few months back, Chace Crawford sent the internet into a mild state of frenzy, after a seemingly-unedited pic of his spandex-clad boner appeared in a promotional calendar for his Amazon series The Boys.

The actor has finally spoken up on this very important cultural milestone, confirming that the dick print was left in the photo on purpose, and that he received a heck of a lot of thirsty messages in his inbox as a result.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Crawford confirmed that the somewhat-explicit image ties in to a plot point around his character, an aquatic superhero named The Deep. As for what that plot point might be, he was vague:

“There is a story behind that but I’m sworn to secrecy by [The Boys co-creator] Erik Kripke. I’m sworn to secrecy. I wish I could give you a good answer but we’ll never know. It will forever remain a mystery. We will never know!”

He added that the subsequent media attention was a little intense, saying:

“[Kripke] thought it was the funniest thing in the world. Oh God. It was probably a little bit over-covered, but I was like, ‘Whatever The Deep can do for you guys to get some press, you know I’m ready to support the show!’”

He also got a lot of attention from thirsty fans, telling the publication that he “got a lot of weird DMs … A lot of love, a lot of love!”

The Boys is set to return for a second season, although a release date has yet to be confirmed.
