During the segment, Whoopi Goldberg criticised Thorne for taking nude selfies.

“If you’re famous, I don’t care how old you are. You don’t take nude pictures of yourself,” the actress said.

“Once you take that picture, it goes into the Cloud and it’s available to any hacker who wants it, and if you don’t know that in 2019 that this is an issue, I’m sorry. You don’t get to do that.”

After seeing the clip, Thorne posted a teary video on Instagram, blasting Goldberg for her remarks.

“I’m not going to lie, I want to say I feel pretty disgusting, Whoopi, knowing everyone’s seen my shit,” she said in the video. “And I just want to say that me watching this interview made me feel really bad about myself and I hope you’re happy. I really do.”

“I really hope you’re so fucking happy because I can only imagine all the kids who have their shit released and then they commit suicide,” the actress continued. “So, you’re so crazy for thinking such terrible things on such an awful situation.”

Thorne also posted a note with the following statement:

“Dear Whoopi, I have loved you for so long but honestly I’m so displeased and saddened by your response to my leak. Blaming girls for taking the photo in the first place? Is sick and honestly disgusting,” she wrote.

“I’m offended for anyone out there who has ever taken a sexy photo. I am offended for Jennifer Lawrence who feels publicly raped. I am offended for every person who has committed suicide for someone leaking their nudes. Ur view on this matter is honestly awful and I hope u change ur mindset as u are a show talking to young girls.”

Now, various celebs have come out of the woodwork to either show their support for Bella or back Whoopi’s criticism.

Thorne shared a bunch of screenshots of texts and DMs from her famous mates who reached out.

Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale responded to the initial IG Story, writing: “Good for you baby girl. I’m so proud of you for speaking up.”

“This breaks my heart, but you’re making a difference for other girls and women.”

Disney star Dove Cameron tweeted her support for Thorne, writing: “Where is the support for young women? I love women. Everyone should love women. Don’t be an asshole!”

“Sexuality is part of being HUMAN. But judgment and objectification is not. Ugh, I can’t handle to ugly. please, be better. I don’t even have any kind words for you.”

Zendaya, Lily-Rose Depp, Tyler Posey, Logan Paul and Cody Christian were among the other stars who supported Thorne as seen in the below screenshots.

Meanwhile Bella Thorne’s ex Mod Sun had an opposing view.

When probed by TMZ, the 32-year-old said “Whoopi Goldberg said some real shit.”

Adding, “I ain’t gonna be sending no … crazy pictures no more!”
