All The Celebs Dropping Into Melbs For Oz Comic-Con If You Need W/E Plans

oz comic-con

It’s not often you’re able to get up close and personal with the world’s hottest celebs. (I mean, one time I tried to get inside Leonardo DiCaprio‘s roped off section at Kings CrossBeach House but that’s a story for another day.)

y am i like this

But not this weekend, mates.

This weekend you can watch the celebs that the world’s frothing on atm during Oz Comic-Con‘s Q&A panels.

General Admissions tickets are still available and that’s all you need for access to all 18 of the celeb guests’ panels.

Need more enticing? Below: eight celeb panels that are definitely worth forking out for. (I say “forking” loosely as the tix are more affordable than your Sunday hangover order from UberEats, and that’s saying something).

KJ APA (Riverdale)

Oh, Archiekins. Need I say more? Riverdale‘s sauciest redhead in all the land (sorry Cheryl) will be in Melbs for photos, autographs and a Q&A panel on both Saturday and Sunday. FYI, he recently wrapped up filming a lead role in The hate U Giveopposite Amandla Stenberg so he’s about to get even bigger on Hollywood‘s scene. Hot tip: maybe don’t rock up in a black hood.

JOE MANGANIELLO (Magic Mike, True Blood)

Oh honey, yes. Joe‘s got an impressive acting resume, one that includes stripping alongside Channing Tatum in Magic Mike, but comic fans may know him as being cast in the upcoming, currently untitled Batman reboot (directed by Ben Affleck) as assassin / supervillain Deathstroke. The man himself will be at Melbourne’s Oz Comic-Con both Saturday and Sunday, signing autographs, having snaps with fans and taking part in the Q&A panel.

JULIAN DENNISON (Deadpool 2, Hunt For The Wilderpeople)

With his lead role in Deadpool 2 alongside Ryan Reynolds, young gun Julian Dennison is the fresh face on everyone’s radar rn. He’s only 15, but has been on the acting scene since only nine years of age with his first feature film Shopping, accepted by both the Berlin International Film Festival and Sundance. Jules (as I like / have decided to call him) will be on panels both days of this weekend, and is even doing a meet and greet should that be your vibe. You’ll need special tix for that one, though.

LAUREN GERMAN (Lucifer, A Walk To Remember)

Do you remember Landon‘s godawful ex in A Walk To Remember? You know, the one who told Jamie (Mandy Moore) that she’d be like, so beautiful if she just knew how to do her makeup? Yes! That one! Lauren German‘s been nabbing hot roles ever since that, including ones of Lucifer, Hostel Part II, Chicago Fire and Hawaii Five-0, and will be on panels both Saturday and Sunday. Her Lucifer co-star Lesley-Ann Brandt will be joining her too.

KATHERINE MCNAMARA (Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments)

She’s the ultimate slashie (seriously she’s a pro actor, singer, dancer and songwriter) who’s currently making waves as Clary Fray in Freeform’s Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments, a screen adaptation of Cassandra Clare‘s highly popular book series. You may also recognise her from New Year’s Eve, Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials and Maze Runner: The Death Cure. She’ll be doin’ the panel thing allll weekend.

KEIYNAN LONSDALE (Love, Simon, The Flash)

Homegrown Keiynan Lonsdale is doing big things in the bright lights, featuring in some biggies like InsurgentAllegiant and Love, Simon, or maybe you know him from that local Dance Academy show. Another local one he was on? All Saints. Iconic. He’s got a panel on Saturday and a shared panel with Legends of Tomorrow‘s Jes Macallan on Sunday which will be all-time.

ANDREW LEES (The Originals, The Pacific, Home and Away)

This Melburnian booked his first acting gig before even graduating, in Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks‘ HBO miniseries The Pacific, no less. He was also on H20: Just Add Water but he’s no ordinary boy (see what I did there?) – known best for his role of Lucien Castle is CW‘s The Originals. He’ll be around all weekend – panels, photographs, autographs, the lot.

CLARE KRAMER (Buffy, Bring It On)

Holy sheetballs, the ever-bitchy Courtney from Bring It On is the official host of this year’s Oz Comic-Con. Aside from being bitchin’ (great hair), she’s also known for playing Glory on Buffy The Vampire Slayer and launching her own pop-cult website GeekNation.com. We’d say she’s got the credentials. She’s not actually panelling throughout Oz Comic-Con but she’ll absolutely be doing the photo and signing thang.
