FOLKS, Channel 10 has done the right thing and given the thumbs up to a season of Celebrity MasterChef. Beautiful, stunning, love ya work.

The network announced the news on Tuesday, and I’m already sifting through the possible celebrities in my head. To be honest, I’m just going through past celebs who have appeared on Channel 10’s other shows, The Masked Singer and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here, because of contracts (???) and all that jazz. I could be way off there, but stay tuned.

While Channel 10 hasn’t announced the cast just yet, it has hinted that a “legendary sports person, an Aussie icon, and a famous actor” have already signed on to join the show. WHOMST, I DEMAND TO KNOW.

Beloved judges Melissa LeongAndy Allen, and Jock Zonfrillo will of course return to the MasterChef kitchen as well.

I’m imagining a bunch of Aussie celebs beaming into the camera for the MasterChef intro to the tune of ‘Hot N Cold’ by Katy Perry, and it just brings me so much joy.

“Melissa, Jock and I can’t wait to swing open the doors to the MasterChef kitchen and welcome these famous faces,” Andy said.

“It’ll be a multi-talented group who step into the kitchen, but will they be at the top of their cooking game?”

Goooood question.

Will Channel 10 cast celebs who can actually cook, or will it be more about creating absolute chaos by shoving a proper amateur cook into a pressure test?

Please, please, please be the latter. There is nothing I love more than a complete chaos cook.

Celebrity MasterChef Australia is coming soon to 10 and 10play on demand. But in the meantime, MasterChef season 13 continues tonight 7.30pm on Channel 10.

Tonight, strap in for a world-first blind-tasting pressure test, because a plain old pressure test isn’t hard enough, apparently.

If Eric goes home tonight, I will cry. He’s the one who auditioned for Junior MasterChef when he was 10 years old. He’s meant to be in that kitchen!!!

You can also stream just about every other season of the global franchise on 10play now.
