Blow Your Goddamn Mind With All The 2010s Celeb Couples You Definitely Forgot About

I was going to begin this article with a line that went something like, “2019 has been a pretty fucken wild year in the celebrity world,” but ya know what? Every bloody year is wild. Every single one.

[jwplayer NQjBCmN6]

A day doesn’t go by where we don’t read about celebs hooking up, dating, cheating, breaking up, slamming each other on social media, getting back together, or if we’re really lucky, all of the above.

So one can be forgiven for forgetting which celebs have dated over the course of the past decade.

As the 2010s wind down, we’ve taken a look back at a bunch of celebs you probz forgot dated at some point between 2010 and 2019.

Buckle up, binches.

Vanessa Hudgens and Josh Hutcherson (2011)

After Zanessa (Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens) and before Ausness (that totally isn’t a thing, but I’m referring to Ness and Austin Butler), the HSM alum dated big cutie Josh Hutcherson.

How do we know this? Well, you can thank our very own TODAY for that.

During an interview with the local daytime talk show while promoting their flick Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, they were asked about dating rumours, to which Josh responded:

“We’re not… No. We were at one point, but she broke my heart,” Josh joked. “I’m just kidding. That was a while ago, we’re just really good friends now.”

Hutcherson later told Seventeen that Vanessa dumped him and eventually moved on with Carrie Diaries star Austin Butler who she is still with to this day.

“I think getting broken up with is worse than breaking up with somebody. For me it hurts more when you’re ready for something to keep going and the other person isn’t,” he told the magazine.

“I was blind at first by looks, by love, whatever. I’ve been known to fall hard and quick for girls, which I think is better than not falling at all.”

Emilia Clarke and Seth MacFarlane (2012 – 2013)

If you’ve seen Emilia Clarke’s new Christmas flick Last Christmas, you’ll know that the girl isn’t just dungeons and dragons, she also has a gift for comedy, as does her ex Seth MacFarlane.

Family Guy’s creator dated the qween of dragons from September 2012 to March 2013, according to E! News.

In a 2016 cover interview with Glamour, Clarke discussed the pitfalls of dating in the public eye, while also copping to her relationship with Seth.

She said, “Well, a con is you have strangers giving you love-life advice like, ‘I’m a big fan of the show, and I’m not sure what you’re doing with that guy,’ which I didn’t react well to.”

“That happened in New York when Seth and I were together,” Clarke continued. “This guy started to give me advice: ‘Can I get a selfie? And by the way…’ Unh-unh, bro.”

They later called it quits, citing distance as the reason behind their breakup. Don’t they all?

Laura Dern and Common (2016)

It’s hard to envision Renata Klein hooking up with anyone other than that train set-owning, nanny fucking, money-losing dipshit but it turns out Big Little Lies star Laura Dern once dated rapper Common.

The pair were reportedly hooking up while filming the 2016 flick The Tale, around the same time her ex-husband Ben Harper was expecting a daughter with wife Jaclyn Matfus.

They put their unlikely relationship on the back-burner later that year.

Cameron Diaz and Alex Rodriguez (2010 – 2011)

Before A-Rod was down with Jenny from the Block, he was disco dancing with one of Charlie’s Angels, Cameron Diaz.

The former MLB player dated the actress for over a year between 2010 and 2011.

They reportedly broke up because their schedules made it impossible for them to spend time together. Again, that’s what they all say.

Michelle Rodriguez and Zac Efron (2014)

I couldn’t find a couple photo on our image sourcing website BUT this one is way too random to leave off the list so go ahead and Google pics for a glimpse at this wack moment in time.

The unlikely couple shocked punters when photographs surfaced of them indulging in a steamy make out session during a July 2014 vacation on the Italian island of Sardinia.

E! News reported that they were introduced two years earlier by mutual pal Mohammed Al Turki.

“Zac has always been attracted to her,” an insider told E! News. “She’s one of those people that everyone likes, she just gets on with all kinds of people and doesn’t take the fame thing too seriously. Zac likes the fact that she is laid-back and he can relate to her. They understand one another.”

But the pair were donezo by the following month ‘coz apparently Zac wanted something more “serious” and Michelle wasn’t into it. Naaaaaaw.

“Zac has an addicting personality, which rolls over to his women. He invests into something and falls hard — fast,” a source told HollywoodLife. “He really fell hard for Michelle, and she wanted to just have fun and not have a super serious relationship.”

One might even say their relationship was ~too fast~ and ~too furious~…

… I’ll show myself out.

Michelle Rodriguez and Cara Delevingne (2014)

Speaking of the sassy Lost actress, remember that time she dated international supermodel / mediocre actress Cara Delevingne?

Delevingne and the Fast and the Furious star dated throughout the first half of 2014 (and probably even overlapped with Zac, let’s be real here).

When asked about her relationship with the then 21-year-old, Michelle was uncharacteristically gushy.

She told the Mirror, “It’s going really well. She’s so cool. When we started hanging out I just thought she was awesome, and we have the best time together.”

Obvs that didn’t last long ‘coz Cara’s since moved on with Pretty Little Liars star Ashley Benson.

Selena Gomez and Zedd (2015)

Hit DJ Zedd dated Selena Gomez back in 2015 which sounds like an absolute dream considering Sel is an angel sent down from heaven, but in an interview following their split, Zedd revealed that dating an A-lister came with its mega pitfalls.

“Reporters were calling my parents. People were hacking my friends’ phones. I was pissed. [Though] I kind of knew what I was getting myself into,” he told Billboard. “She is one of the most talked about people in the world, but I had no idea how much that would change my life.”

While the union sparked some pretty harsh personal shit for Zedd, it left us with one helluva banger that I’ve used to kickstart my weekend every Friday since 2015, so kudos to them for that.

Justin Bieber and Sofia Richie (2016)

Before Hailey Baldwin made an honest man of him, Justin was kicking it with another hot model: Sofia Richie.

The pair made their relationship public in August 2016 and much like Hailz, Sofia’s ‘gram was very Justin-centric. They were also quite partial to a couple vacay, travelling to both Japan and Mexico together.

The relationship wasn’t all sunshine and lollipops tho, especially for Sofia who was reportedly hammered with abuse from Justin’s fans. The Biebs himself had to plead with his legion of followers to stop abusing his missus, again, much like he has done on several occasions regarding attacks on Hailey.

It appears that the online trolling became too much to handle ‘coz they were donezo by September.

Kylie Jenner and Jaden Smith (2013)

Looks like Kylie’s always had a thing for rappers, even before she was the plump-lipped beauty mogul that she is today.

Smith and Jenner reportedly dated back in 2013 before she started going out with Tyga.

While they remained friends in the years following, it has been reported that their friendship was one of the main reasons behind Jenner and Tyga’s split in 2015.

“Kylie and Jaden have been hanging out lately and it made Tyga suspicious,” a source told E! News. “He thought something might be going on. So that was one issue.”

Following her recent split from Travis Scott, dating rumours circulated the pair once again after a photo emerged from Justin and Hailey Bieber’s wedding of Jaden’s hand on Kylie’s butt.

Whether or not they’re actually back on is unknown but as they say, history always has a way of repeating itself.

Kylie Jenner and Cody Simpson (2011)

Ok so apparently her taste isn’t specific to rappers ‘coz she’s also dated our very own Aussie crooner, Cody Simpson.

Simpson was rumoured to be dating the youngest member of the Kardashian-Jenner fam back in 2011.

Years after they reportedly split, Simpson finally confirmed that he once had a thing with Kylizzle.

“The whole K-O-D-Y thing didn’t really work out for me,” he joked on E! about their short-lived romance.

Ah well, Kylie’s loss is Miley’s gain.

Cody Simpson and Gigi Hadid (2013 – 2015)

Because Hollywood, especially young Hollywood, is super freaking incestuous, Simpson also dated Kylie’s sister’s best friend, Gigi Hadid.

The unfairly gorgeous couple dated for two years, from 2013 to 2015.

They were seldom seen without each other and attended hot events such as Coachella and the Oscars together.

Cody later insisted that their split was “amicable”, but that he couldn’t handle all the “paparazzi and stuff.”

“I love my ex-girlfriend, I always will. It was an amicable, mutual decision, and we still talk every now and then, but the highly publicised thing made me uncomfortable,” he told DuJour, “Going out to dinner and there being all this paparazzi and stuff…. as soon as we split I had the realisation that I was straying away from who I was as a whole person. I want to keep it low-key, and focus on my music.”

Apparently he’s gotten over the fear of the paps ‘coz he’s now dating one of the most high-profile celebs, speaking of which…

Patrick Schwarzenegger and Miley Cyrus (2014 – 2015)

During her Liam Hemsworth hiatus, Miley dated Arnold Schwarzenegger’s strapping son Patrick.

They were spotted hooking up in public back in 2014, behold:

They later confirmed their relationship by attending the Grammys together (as seen in the above pic).

But their relationship shit the bed in March when he was photographed getting cosy with another chick while on spring break in Mexico (trust).

He took to Twitter to tell punters that it was just a mate, but insiders told PEOPLE that the pair were defs going through something heavy.

They called it quits shortly after.

Katy Perry and John Mayer (2012 and 2014)

Big name singers John Mayer and Katy Perry once formed a union otherwise known as the I Hate Taylor Swift Club back in 2012.

They started dating following Perry’s highly publicised divorce from Russell Brand.

They vacayed together, collaborated on the track ‘Who You Love’ and probably spent hours slagging off T-Swift until splitting up in 2014.
