Caroline Calloway, Instagram influencer, has reneged on her promise to cancel her controversial tour, and will be proceeding full speed ahead with a workshop in New York, for which she will still charge $230.

Best of all, she’s now taking applications for the privilege of joining her on the six-hour creativity romp, because it is not enough to simply hand over $230, one must explain “why creativity and resiliency are important to you at this particular point in your life“.
Calloway explains in her Stories that this time around they’ve hired vegan caterers to make them salad; there won’t be flower crowns but flowers to clip in their hair during a profesh photobooth sesh (???); and there will be an added section on resilience.

Did you already forget about Calloway? She’s the influencer who uses Stories to talk about her life!!! (so original wow), and tried to set up an international creativity tour – selling $230 tickets to people before she had booked any venues, cancelling shows willy nilly, and basically not following through on basically anything she had promised. It ended up a fkn mess, so she apologised, refunded everyone’s dough, and cancelled the tour.
Jks, she’s doing it anyway, probably due to popular demand from no one at all.
Here’s the email she sent out about the new workshop, and the schedule, and God I am simultaneously furious and exhausted just looking at this.
The new event is available on a password locked Eventzilla page (not Eventbrite). Here’s the schedule. No terms & conditions or refund details listed.
Also the 12:00 – 2:45 bloc of teaching is double booked. pic.twitter.com/ROqoU0n4gu— Kayleigh Donaldson (@Ceilidhann) January 17, 2019
What does Kayleigh Donaldson, the writer who originally exposed Calloway as either a bit of a fraud or just a little thick, think of all this?
She’s continued to follow the saga, including posting a message sent by Calloway to attendees to her previous events after she had refunded their money. In the message she links to her Paypal, hoping that her fans will choose to pay her something despite her ineptitude. It’s rich.
Thank you to the anonymous workshop attendee who forwarded me a copy of the email Calloway sent out wherein she is now asking the refunded fans to PayPal her. pic.twitter.com/RQNVFgBrPY

In terms of the revived show Donaldson points out the absurdity of forcing fans to apply to attend over email, including sharing their social media details – presumably so Calloway can “vet” them.
She also points out just how ridiculous it is to remount a tour just days after admitting she lacked the skill to do so, while now “claiming this is part of a narrative where she was wrong & has emerged a stronger person”.
Donaldson sums the whole thing up as “gaslighting“.
I’ve had a lot of people insist to me that Calloway isn’t a scam artist, she’s just an enthusiastic person in over their head. I hope this continuing mess and her endless efforts to treat her fans like crap while avoiding accountability do away with that notion.

And another thing: Calloway now deeply identifies with Reputation era, Taylor Swift, which warrants no further comment from me.

It goes without saying but I’m gonna say it anyway: do not buy tickets to this if you are in NY this weekend. Do not buy tickets to any event like this ever.
Why pay $230 when you can pay $30 for PEDESTRIAN.TV‘s Selfish Weekend, an event dedicated entirely to self-care. Pick up tickets HERE.
