According to The Age, Melbourne Gangland killer Carl Williams has today died in prison after being attacked by fellow inmates. Williams was serving a life sentence for ordering the murders of three rivals during the Melbourne Gangland Killings – a turbulent gangland war which was depicted famously in in the first season of Underbelly. Police are currently determining whether Williams died as a direct result of the attack. He was 35 years of age.
