An ugly fight broke out between American artists Cardi B and Nicki Minaj at the Plaza Hotel, earlier today.

TMZ reports the rappers were at the hotel for the Harper’s Bazaar ICONs celebration when Cardi reportedly approached Minaj’s table “to address the lies Nicki was spreading”. The confrontation took a turn when Cardi reportedly threw her shoe at Minaj. However, other sources told Cosmopolitan Minaj had been taking photos with Kelly Rowland and La La Anthony on the red carpet when Cardi walked by. Minaj then reportedly stepped on Cardi’s train, tearing it, which then resulted in Cardi lunging at Minaj and throwing her shoe before she was escorted from the party by security.
Cardi was pictured leaving the event barefooted with a large lump on her forehead.
Just moments ago Cardi posted a statement to her Instagram and though she doesn’t explicitly mention anyone in particular, she claims this certain individual crossed a line when they negatively commented about Cardi’s daughter, Kulture.
In Cardi B’s full statement on Instagram the artist wrote:
I’ve let a lot of shit slide. I let you sneak diss me, I let you lie on me, I let you attempt to stop my bags, fuck up the way I eat! You’ve threaten other artists in the industry, told them if they work with me you’ll stop fuckin with them!! I let you talk big shit about me!! I addressed you once in person, I addressed you a second time in person, and every time you copped the plea!!
But when you mention my child, you choose to like comments about me as a mother, make comments about my abilities to take care of my daughter is when all bets are fuckin off!! I’ve worked too hard and come too far to let anybody fuck with my success!!! Bitches talk all that shit in they raps but in real life they pussy!! That shit really is for entertainment.
