Cardi B Calls Out Con-Artist Using Her Name To Scam Big Bucks From Her Fans

Rapper Cardi B has taken to Instagram to call out a con-artist who’s been using her name to scam fans out of money.

She shared an email that a fan had received that asked people to donate money for autism research.

As you can see from the below screenshot that Cardi shared, the email is littered with typos and punctuation errors and while Cardi isn’t the best with literacy, surely someone would have proof-read an official email being sent to fans who donated to a charity she was backing, right?

The 26-year-old captioned the screengrab: “Thanks @iamdeadeye59 for putting me on ! THIS SHIT IS FAKE ! FAKE DONATION SHIT! Ya wild disgusting taking advantage of real kind people who wanna make a change but ya scamming! If it don’t come from my mouth don’t believe it !????????????????????????”

The scammer wrote that they were trying to raise $30 million purely via fan donations for the charity. It is unknown how much the scammer managed to swindle from fans.

Cardi’s followers voiced their fury in the comments with some likening the scam to the Fyre Festival debacle.

“Wow, that’s horrible people act this way and take advantage! ????” one person wrote. “Damn I was about to comment, my son has autism so something like this would be great for all families who experience, thanks for exposing the fraud. People are so ridiculous,” another wrote.

“Wow it’s some real fucked up people in this world,” wrote an angry user with another jokingly writing “#fyrefestival.”

No word yet as to how fans can get their money back but I’d recommend getting on the horn to your bank ASAP to stop payment, if it’s not too late.
