HERE WE GO, friends. Marvel has finally dropped unto the world the new, full-length trailer for the upcoming Captain Marvel and if Brie Larson going around bashing the living daylights outta stuff sounds like your idea of a good time (and it should) then buddy are you ever in for a treat.
The latest in Marvel’s long, on-going line of box office-dominating superhero flicks doesn’t hit cinemas until March next year, but the trailer dropped today gives us a bit more of an idea as to what the hell we’re all in for.
In it, we get a better look at Samuel L Jackson as a young(er) Nick Fury, and an extended look at Danvers’ backstory, and a whole hell of a lot of Jude Law.
Buckle up. It’s a hell of a ride.
Hell. Yes.
Captain Marvel‘s extended cast features a murderer’s row of big names, including Larson, Jackson, and Law, along with Ben Mendohlson, Djimon Hounsou, Annette Benning, and Clark Gregg, who returns to the series as S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Phil Coulson; a casting made possible by the film’s mid-90s setting.
Half Nelson and It’s Kind Of A Funny Story directing duo Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck helmed the project, which was first teased during the post-credits scene of Avengers: Infinity War. Today’s trailer release is speculated to precede the release of the trailer for Avengers 4 as well, which is due imminently.
Captain Marvel is set to hit cinemas on March 8th. K-E-E-N.
