Back in 2018, when the first-ever Captain Marvel trailer hit the internet, some people took major issue with its… lack of smiles. Apparently Carol Danvers needed to show her teeth more while protecting the world from alien forces. It’s been a while but this really did happen unfortunately. At the time, Brie Larson herself hit back at the haters by explaining that not every single woman out there has to be smiling all the time.
“Breaking news: You can be you,” she wrote in an Instagram Story.
“That means you can smile or not. You can be strong in the ways you want to be. You can own who you are. If anyone tells you different don’t trust them.”
In a new extended scene from Captain Marvel, Carol Danvers shows you exactly what happens when you ask her to flash her chompers. In this case, a bloke named The Don played by Robert Kazinsky, really cops it.

Back in April, Captain Marvel officially joined the Billion Dollar Club when it powered past the $1 billion mark at the global box office. It now sits beside fellow y’huge money-makers The Avengers, Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, and new mate Avengers: Endgame.
Earlier this month, Larson and her co-stars shared some hella cool snaps from the set of Endgame. Sometime between filming Marvel’s biggest movie yet, Iron-Man star Robert Downey, Jr. hosted a “Women of Marvel” lunch.
Stars included Evangeline Lilly (Hope Pym), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), and Danai Okoye (Okoye).
