HELL YES: Tame Impala And BTS Are Set To Make Their ‘SNL’ Debuts

Tame Impala

Local legends Tame Impala will make their Saturday Night Live debut at the end of this month, the show announced on social media as part of a bloody quality line-up for their next three shows.

You know you’ve made it when SNL give you a ring.

Tame Impala are locked in as the musical guest for SNL‘s March 30 show hosted by Killing Eve star Sandra Oh. On the following week, Game of Thrones favourite Kit Harington will take centre stage with musical guest Sara Bareilles, and on April 13 The Favourite‘s Emma Stone will host and global sensation BTS will make their SNL debut.

BTS’ new album Map of the Soul: Persona drops April 12 so you can damn well expect #BTS to be all over social media next month.

It may only be March but it’s looking to be an absolute killer year for Tame Impala. The boys will headline this year’s Coachella alongside Ariana Grande and Childish Gambino.

Funnily enough, Kevin Parker actually forgot to tell his bandmates – Cam Avery, Dominic Simper, Julien Barbagallo, and Jay Watson – about the news until the day the booking was officially announced.

They would’ve woken up, seen the poster and thought it was a joke,” he told The Sunday Times. “If they read this interview, they’ll know I forgot. We’re not much of a celebratory gang.”

As for new music, Tame Impala shared a teeny tiny snippet of their new creations on social media earlier this week.
