All The Looks From The 2021 Brit Awards That Made Me Audibly Gasp On The Train This Morn

Brit Awards

The Brit Awards 2021 wrapped up not too long ago, an awards ceremony I may or may not have forgotten about. But hoo boy, did it deliver some absolute LOOKS. That’s the best bit anyway, imho!

This year’s Brit Awards took place at the O2 Arena in London and was hosted by comedian Jack Whitehall. The event was billed as “the first major indoor music event to welcome back a live audience” since COVID-19 did its thing.

About 4,000 essential workers were in attendance.

And now, for some looks.

Oh, nothing, just Rina Sawayama making me audibly gasp on this fine Wednesday morning.

Sawayama, who was nominated for Rising Star, wore a vintage Balmain Couture dress to the ceremony. Straight to the mood board.

Harry Styles

Okay, I’m starting to deeply regret not waking up early to catch this live, because MY GOD.

Harry Styles not only won with his entire ensemble (more on that in a tick), he also won best Single of the Year for ‘Watermelon Sugar’. You truly do love to see it.

Styles wore a retro, graphic-print suit from Gucci’s most recent collection. The two-piece is fresh off the runway, according to Vogue, which the artist paired with a cute, cute, cute handbag and Gucci shoes.

Dua Lipa

Dua Lipa looks good in anything and everything – that’s what I’ve learnt after writing about award shows for the past three years. It is criminally unfair.

She wore custom Vivienne Westwood to the Brits in a look punctuated by her very British hair and jewellery. I do be clutching my pearls over how good she looks, tell ya what.

My fave took home the gongs for best Female Solo Artist and Album of the Year for Future Nostalgia. As she should!

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift, a vision as always, wore a sparkly two-piece set from Miu Miu.

Swift became the first woman and non-British artist to take home the Brit’s Global Icon Award, which is great for her… but also kinda messed up when you think about it. First woman????

Raye

I LOVE RAYE. Her absolute bop ‘Natalie Don’t’ will always be in my most recently played on Spotify.

Raye was nominated for Single of the Year, but ultimately lost out to ‘Watermelon Sugar’ by Styles.

The artist wore a hot pink dress by Etro, which she teamed with jewellery by Bulgari. Love this Marilyn Monroe look, love it to bits.

Arlo Parks

Arlo Parks looking absolutely stoked after winning Breakthrough Artist is a pure shot of joy. That is all.

Little Mix

Little Mix became the first female band to win the gong for British group at the awards show.

Honestly, one day you’re a teenager and Perrie Edwards is engaged to Zayn Malik, and the next they both have kids / are expecting children with other partners. Time flies.

Olivia Rodrigo

Actor and singer Olivia Rodrigo wore a neon, strapless, tulle dress from Christian Dior to the Brit Awards.

While Rodrigo wasn’t nominated for any gongs this time around, she did perform a stripped-back performance of ‘Drivers License’.

Haim

Pictured: Este HaimDanielle Haim, and Alana Haim wearing The Row, looking kickass as always.

Haim won the award for best International Group, beating out BTS, Fontaines DCFoo Fighters, and Run the Jewels.

Griff

And last but not least is Griff, who won the Rising Star award. She looked ethereal, I don’t know how else to describe it.

Going to the loo must’ve been a struggle, though.
