Hear Ye, Hear Ye: Bridgerton Hath Been Renewed Through To Season 4 So Here’s All We Know So Far

Bridgerton Netflix

Someone fetch me my fascinator and my horse and carriage, because Netflix has ordered two more seasons of Bridgerton, meaning that we’ve just received the promise of three more seasons. Thank you, Lady Whistledown, Christmas has come early.

Back in January, we received the joyous news that Netflix would be renewing its wildly successful and ravenously horny regency drama Bridgerton. The news came alongside the announcement that Regé-Jean Page would not be returning, which made celebs and fans alike go into a frenzy.

“I don’t know that I expected this much of an explosion, given that every book is a different romance,” show creator Shonda Rhimes told Vanity Fair.

“What would be the ever-after of this combo? I mean, really: What would Regé-Jean do, you know what I mean? We gave them their happily ever after!”

damn it i’ll miss them

Despite the loss of Duke Page, Netflix has just announced that the show will be renewed right on through to season 4, which is simply yuge. We all know that the streaming service has a nasty habit of nixing our fave shows completely, so I’m going to take these new seasons with a huge grin. Gimme all the drama and horniness, thank you.

Because the series follows Julia Quinn‘s novels (of which there are many), we kind of have a good idea about what is coming our way in the next few seasons of Bridgerton.

Without spoiling too much, you can expect Anthony, Benedict and Colin to be married off by the end of season 4. To who though, I cannot say, but you can definitely read the books if waiting for answers isn’t your style.

The next few seasons will focus on these three characters, so prepare to see them a lot more.

We already have confirmation that season 2 will star the über-attractive Jonathan Bailey (Anthony Bridgerton) and his conflicting love interests, Kate Sharma (Sex Education‘s Simone Ashley) and Edwina Sharma (Charithra Chandran).

Just last week, in fact, four new actors were announced for the show, including two new hot mysterious men that are sure to cause a scene on the screen. One of whom is Calam Lynch, who will be playing Theo Sharpe, a “hardworking printer’s assistant” who doesn’t even appear in the books, which is spicy.

I have no doubts that these next few seasons are going to be smash hits, but if Netflix truly wanted, they could probably make eight seasons with all of the book material available.

If you need me, I’m going to be patiently waiting for the return of Jonathan Bailey to my screen.
