The video is roughly a minute long, and we now have a much clearer understanding of the film’s plot.
The trailer, accompanied by the caption “The only way forward is to leave his past behind”, opens on Aaron Paul‘s Jesse Pinkman in a car, parked in a seemingly-remote and desolate field.
The radio announcer begins: “Breaking news. A horrific scene with multiple victims. It started when neighbours reported hearing dozens of gunshots fired. When Albuquerque police arrived, they discovered the bodies of 9 male victims, many shot multiple times. Veteran police officers are calling the level of carnage, quote, ‘staggering.’ Apparently, a remote-controlled machine gun was used in the killings. Investigators are looking for a person of interest who fled the scene…”
Enter Pinkman, teary-eyed, breathing heavily, staring into his rear-view mirror. Chills.
For those living under a rock, the film will follow Pinkman’s life post-series finale back in 2013. The show’s OG creator Vince Gilligan is the writer, producer and directer.
El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie will grace Netflix with its presence on October 11. Peep the trailer below and prepare to feel those feels once more. Here we go again.
