Polarising Aussie comic Jim Jefferies has landed himself his own late-night show, and you have permission to argue about, as of… now.
While you contemplate the praise heaped upon the joke-sayer – including props for his succinct takedown of inveterate windbag Piers Morgan – or the equal amount of criticism hurled his way for some blatantly misogynistic language, we’ll fill you in on his new gig’s details.
Comedy Central have signed Jefferies on for 10 half-hour-long episodes, which will see him roam around the planet in order to take the piss out of whatever is relevant at the time.
And, according to the press release CC have pushed out, he’ll also riff on Donald Trump “because, unfortunately, there’s no way he can avoid it.”
The currently unnamed show has some significant talent behind the screen, too. Head writer and co-executive producer Jason Reich has previously worked on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and Full Frontal with Samantha Bee.
It’s scheduled to appear sometime in the middle of the year. Expect it to be like watching your mouthy mate on that one Euro trip, except with much higher production value.
