Bra Boys Flattered By Thinly Veiled Home And Away Homage

Both are synonymous with surfing, causing brain damage and localism so we completely get why Home and Away have unveiled three Bra Boys inspired characters called “The River Boys”. Drawing inspiration from the drama of real life – something the Law and Order franchise has practiced for years, the thinly veiled homage includes a trio of tattooed bar-fighting brothers named “Brax”, Heath and Casey Braxton. I know right, Brax Braxton?

In an interview with The Sun Herald eldest Abberton brother Sunny called the homage ”flattering in a funny way”.

”What can you do? As long as it’s not making it into a negative thing about being territorial on the beach, and perpetuating that image that we don’t want anyone else on our beach – which can get a little bit boring,” Abberton said. ”We don’t want that portrayed.”

The River Boys make their Home and Away debut February 14, hopefully they bottle Alf at the surf club. Meet them below from left to right and in ascending order of pectoral definition – Casey, “Brax” and Heath.
