Bloodstained Knife Found “Buried” On O.J. Simpson’s Former LA Property

In what is potentially a new twist to one of the most notorious murder cases of the 1990s, a construction worker has revealed that he found a bloodstained knife “buried” on the grounds of O.J. Simpson‘s former Los Angeles property.
Gossip monsters TMZ – whose sources tend to not bullshit around – report that the folding buck knife was recently handed over to the LAPD‘s Robbery Homicide Division, where it is being tested for hair and fingerprints.
Interestingly, the construction worker says that he found the knife “years ago”, during the demolition of the Brentwood house, and passed it on to an off-duty LAPD officer who was standing across the street.
The officer instead held on to the knife, and its existence only came to light in January of this year, when his superiors became aware of its existence, after he made enquiries about getting it framed for his wall.
The man was only caught after contacting a friend in the homicide division and asking for the departmental record number for O.J.’s famous murder case, so he could have it engraved on the weapon.
The knife is said to be “extremely rusted and stained”, but has what appears to be blood residue on the blade; testing will begin next week.
The LAPD have been keeping their investigation into the matter top secret, and reports indicate that they “logged the case into a computer system outside the official case file”, which … yeah, sure, sounds legit to us.
Simpson was acquitted of the 1994 murders of his wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her lover Ronald Goldman, and thanks to double jeopardy laws, it’s unlikely he’ll be tried again, regardless of what tests on the knife turn up.
In 1997, a civil court made a $33.5 million judgement against Simpson for his wife and Goldman’s wrongful deaths, though years later, he has still reportedly paid out little of this amount.
