Dear old SpongeBob Squarepants is currently celebrating his 30th birthday. Hooley dooley.
The show itself is just on 17 years old (that in and of itself is a ridiculous sentence to consider) but an image circulating them internets today is alerting everyone to the fact that everyone’s favourite Krusty Krab employee is currently celebrating the big Three-Oh.
A still frame from the season six episode ‘Nautical Novice,’ in which the squarest sponge of all finally obtains his boating driver’s license, shows that SpongeBob’s date of birth is July 14th, 1986 (a damned fine year, if I do say so myself).
July 14th, coincidentally, is also Con Air Day. But that’s neither here nor there.
