Blinky Bill Movie Reveals Stellar Australian Voice Cast

In reassuring casting news, the CGI Blinky Bill film we’re all obligated to watch as good Australian citizens has unveiled an impressive lineup of five star voice talent.

The cast will see Ryan Kwanten (True Blood, Not Suitable For Children) in the titular role, Hell On Wheels’ Robin McLeavy as Blinky’s best friend Nutsy, as well as cameo appearances from Toni Collette (Little Miss Sunshine, The United States Of Tara), Englishman Rufus Sewell, Barry Humphries (Barry Humphries), David Wenham (300, The Lord Of The Rings), Richard Roxburgh (TV’s Rake), Deborah Mailman (The Sapphires, The Secret Life Of Us) and screen legend Barry Otto (The Great Gatsby, Australia). 
The film will be penned by Fin Edquist (House Husbands, McLeod’s Daughters), produced by Barbara Stephen and directed by former Tim Burton art director, Deane Taylor.
“The Blinky Bill Movie will introduce a whole new generation to Blinky Bill and his Australian bush friends,” producer Stephen said. “We are so excited that we’ve been able to attract such an impressive cast to the project.”

The big-screen adaptation follows Blinky and his marsupial mates as they set out to find his missing father, Mr. Koala.

The Blinky Bill movie will be released nationally in 2015.
