‘Blade Runner 2’ W/ Harrison Ford & Ryan Gosling To Be Released In 2018

It’s a good day to be a film nerd, y’all.

Continuing the Harrison Ford retirement tour, in which he hastily revisits all his most famous roles before the fuck sands of the hourglass run out and he can give a fuck no more, the highly vaunted sequel to the 1982 all-time classic Blade Runner is well and truly on the highway to a cinema near you.
The much rumoured follow-up to one of the greatest sci-fi films of all-time was confirmed to be starring both Ford, reprising his iconic role of Rick Deckard, alongside Ryan Gosling.
What’s more, the film now has itself a shiny new release date: January 12, 2018.
The as-yet untitled sequel will work off a script penned by Hampton Fancher, who co-wrote the original script, alongside Michael Green who is working on, among other things, Alien: Covenant, the new Wolverine sequel, and has previously worked on Smallville, Heroes, and the Ryan Reynolds-starring Green Lantern movie.
Ridley Scott and Fancher devised the story for the sequel, which will pick up several decades after the original – based on the wonderful Philip K. Dick novel “Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep?” – left off.
Highly touted French-Canadian director Denis Villeneuve will direct.
Holy snapping duckshit I am KEEN.
