Big Brother is back with a first glimpse at the show’s revival to remind you that he made self-isolation ~cool~ long before coronavirus forced us all into a lockdown.
The iconic reality TV show hasn’t graced our screens since 2014, but thankfully, it’s back with an all-new reboot to keep us occupied during the coronavirus pandemic.
Our first look at the 2020 reboot gives us a taste of the new house (warehouse), some of the new challenges to keep the housemates busy, and the brand spankin’ new voice of Big Brother himself.
“I have been watching you, Australia,” the new voice of Big Brother says in the teaser. “You see, I never went away and now I am ready to play. Welcome to my brand new house.”
Throughout the trailer we get to sneak a glimpse at the new house, in which he can see ~everything~.
“There is nowhere to run, there is nowhere to hide.”
The diary room is straight out of 3020.
Big Brother also shares that he’s found a “new breed of housemate” to play his game. It’s unclear exactly what this means, but Big Brother asserts that “nothing will prepare them for what [he’s] got planned.”
The show was already in production before the coronavirus pandemic hit Australia, which means we’ll get to live vicariously through these blissfully unaware strangers (at least until the episode in which Big Brother drops the bombshell that is the global health pandemic).
