Depending on the amount of Kool Aid (Lemonade?) you’re drinking, Beyoncé and Jay-Z either had a nice, quiet evening for the rapper’s 48th birthday, or went and brought the infamous elevator fight full damn circle.
THE FACTS: Beyoncé and Jay-Z, while leaving a cinema they’d renting out for the aforementioned birthday celebrations, posed for paps in the elevator.

“Hurry up. Come get it,” Jay-Z apparently instructed photographers, also telling the bodyguard to get out of the way for the pic.

Now, if you want to reeeaaaaally sip the Lemonade, you could consider this a ‘full-circle’ moment.
THE INFAMOUS FIGHT: After the 2014 Met Gala, Jay-Z and Bey’s sister Solange came to blows in an elevator fight that since became infamous. CCTV footage of the fight played out across media, but no party ever fully explained what happened, and we were left to decipher the clues laid out in the family’s albums.
Lemonade obviously fully exorcised Jay-Z’s alleged infidelity – and fans pretty much agreed that the elevator fight was after Solange discovered Jay-Z was cheating on his wife with “Becky with the good hair” – but Jay-Z explicitly referenced the fight on his 2017 track, ‘Kill Jay-Z‘:
“You egged Solange on / Knowin’ all along, all you had to say you was wrong / You almost went Eric Benét / Let the baddest girl in the world get away / I don’t even know what else to say / N***a, never go Eric Benét”
At least a few Beyoncé fans are screaming at the fact that their queen – who usually looks beyond schmick in literally anything – chose today to look a little…. meh (blue fur coat be damned).
Beyoncé had 364 other days this year to look a mess & she picked Jay’s birthday, a petty queen…. it’s what he deserves. https://t.co/bxB7qxB02g

But mostly they can’t get over the whole ‘Jay telling the paps to “hurry up”‘ thing.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Anyway, the film they reportedly saw was Woody Allen‘s new crime drama, Wonder Wheel, so maybe that needs a little more judging than their pap poses, tbh.
