Benedict Cumberbatch‘s mission to flood the gene pool with his seed and produce a generation of tinier, even more lethal Cumberbatches has begun in earnest, with the birth of his first Earth son this weekend.
Cumberbatch married human theatre director and actress Sophie Hunter earlier this year, and the birth of their baby boy comes five months after the pregnancy announcement, the standard length of time on the Sherlock star’s home world.
A spokesman for the couple confirmed the birth, and added “we would kindly ask everyone to respect the family’s privacy during these next few precious weeks”, so that the ritual can be performed.
Cumberbatch was recently named a Knight of the British Empire, completing the first phase of the plan.
His true form will soon be revealed.
