Ben Mendelsohn Makes Things Incredibly Uneasy In The ‘Bloodline’ Trailer

Nothing really terrible happens in this trailer. Nothing that dramatic, out of the ordinary, terribly untoward. And yet, something is not right. Something is quite wrong.

Streaming giant Netflix is streaking ahead with their original content game – which is a fierce as the day is long at the moment – and preparing to launch brand new title Bloodline to all Netflix territories (YOU GUYS. THAT INCLUDES US NOW!) on the 20th of March this year.
The series was created by the team of Todd A. Kessler, Daniel Zelman and Glenn Kessler who combined previously created the absolutely excellent FX series Damages.
As far as plot goes, all we really know is that it surrounds a very well respected family whose lives are thrown into turmoil when the black sheep son/brother arrives home and threatens to reveal the dark secret’s they’ve all been hiding. DRAMA!

And if that alone isn’t enough to hook you in, it just so happens to have an outstanding cast attached to it, which features ‘Straya’s own Ben Mendelsohn, Kyle Chandler (who you might remember from the excellent Friday Night Lights or the even excellenter Early Edition if we’re digging deep here), along with Linda Cardellini, Sissy Spacek, Sam Sheperd and Chloe Sevigny, among others.
The brooding tone of the trailer, coupled with the vague intrigue and the awesome, swampy version of Metallica‘s “Nothing Else Matters” is all the convincing I need. Colour me keen.
