Ben Mendelsohn Lands New Role In Next Big Netflix Thriller

Everyone’s favorite drug dealer/drug user/Batman villain Ben Mendelsohn has scored a role alongside Kyle Chandler (The Wolf Of Wall Street, Argo) in a new psychological thriller developed by internet streaming company Netflix.

The currently untitled 13-episode series comes from the creators of American legal thriller Damages. It will follow a family of adult siblings whose issues are revealed when the black sheep of the family and eldest brother, played by (yep, you guessed it) Mendelsohn, returns home. It sounds a lot like Ben Mendelsohn doing what Ben Mendelsohn does best. Causing a ruckus.

Ben, who has always been an acting legend here in Australia, has had a string of Hollywood success after playing Andrew ‘Pope’ Cody in the Australian crime-drama Animal Kingdom. Since then he’s played a junkie alongside Brad Pitt in Killing Them Softly and a washed-up mechanic/bank robber with Ryan Gosling in A Place Beyond The Pines. He even had the honour of playing a Batman villain, which, let’s face it, should be a wet dream for every actor.

Not bad considering he was on Neighbours back in 1987 and was the guy that got naked and fell off a cliff in Vertical Limit.
