Bear Grylls Announces Australian Tour

He might see elephant feces as nature’s Gatorade but Bear Grylls is a shit eater whose advice we should heed. For half a decade the host of Man Vs. Wild has traversed the globe, built fires and put questionable things in his mouth to teach budding adventurers how to survive in the wild. He’s also fashioned a camel carcass into the world’s itchiest sleeping bag and regularly exhibits MacGyver levels of resourcefulness. And now he wants to teach us, Australia.

Grylls will impart his survival knowledge in the flesh when he heads Down Under to present the world premiere of his live stage show, A Night With Bear Grylls. Visiting Melbourne, Sydney and Perth in September (sorry everyone else), Grylls will host a two hour “in conversation” style gabfest alongside “one of his biggest fans”, comedian Merrick Watts.

Says the show description: Join Bear Grylls as he shares his experiences of survival in some of the world’s toughest environments . Be inspired as Bear relives some of the great escapes and sticky situations of his life as a soldier, mountaineer and serial adventurer. Learn about the intrepid crew behind MAN vs. WILD, and the mind-boggling logistics which go into every expedition. See breathtaking footage of some of the world’s most remote and hostile locations and find out what it is like to be parachuted in there – from the man who did it, and survived!

Tickets go on sale June 20.
