Be Warned: Chances Are There’s A Swamp-Load Of ‘Shrek’ Sequels A-Comin’

This year is the 15th anniversary of 2001’s iconic movie about a big green ogre who doesn’t believe in the fairytale ending, only to find himself in the middle of one.
BECAUSE FAIRYTALES HAVE LAYERS, DONKEH.
And by PEDESTRIAN.TV‘s general audience age bracket, we’re guessing that y’all not only remember ‘Shrek‘ coming out, but you also read that last line in Mike Myers’ Shrek voice. Yes? No? Yeah, thought so.
Therefore, some of you may be interested to know that there’s some pretty rapidly swirling rumours that more sequels about the ogre/donkey BFF duo are in the pipeline.
Comcast’s NBC Universal bought DreamWorks Animation not that long ago, and during the Guggenheim TMT Symposium in New York, NBCU chief executive Steve Burke said this:
“He is creatively going to try to help us figure out how to resurrect Shrek.”
“He” is referring to Illumination Entertainment’s Chris Meledandri, who produced another little movie you might have heard of, called ‘Despicable Me‘.
SO – be prepared. There’s more nostalgic ogre time comin’ for your screen.
