The Bachelor Australia has finally come to and end for the year, which means we have precisely 27 seconds of Bachie-freedom before The Bachelorette steals our soul again.
Tonight was the final showdown between the sexual beast that is Abbie, and the shy, slightly scared Chelsie. At the start of the episode Twitter was pretty split down the middle, half of the internet thinks Abbie is a woman who knows what she wants and goes for it, and the other half thinks sweet innocent Chelsie is the woman for Matt. I mean, they could pop out a couple of nerdy kids together and go on science camp.

It’s been a long season. I’ve been Team Abbie, Team Elly, Team Abbie again, then Team Chelsie. And honestly I don’t even know who I think should’ve won anymore.
When it came to meeting the fam (or friends in Matt’s case, because Matt apparently has no family), Abbie didn’t quite get along with Matt’s bestie, Kate which seems like a big red flag, or at least Twitter thought so. I’m no relationship expert, but from my personal experience, if your friends (especially female friends) don’t like the girl you’re dating, it’s probably not going to work.

I’m almost convinced Abbie is capable of murder. Has anybody seen Matt’s friend since they shot this episode? #BachelorAu pic.twitter.com/8yoTo4TWr7

I wonder what Matt is thinking watching Abbie talk shit about his best friend?! #BachelorAu @TheBachelorAU

Both of Matt’s besties basically screamed “PICK CHELSIE PICK CHELSIE, ABBIE IS A BAD IDEA RED FLAG RED FLAG THINK LONG TERM, DON’T THINK WITH YOUR DICK!!!”
Obviously, Matt was like “what do you mean????” and Twitter lost their minds over it.

Ultimately, Chelsie won the final rose, and Matt’s sciencey heart. My heart breaks for Abbie. She was so confident, and I think she just was young and eager and didn’t imagine that Matt had developed feelings for Chelsie along the way.
Abbie’s final reaction received mixed opinions from Twitter, especially her lack of emotion in the final moments.

That reaction was all ego. No emotion. Bye felicia #BachelorAu

But some people saw how young and in love she was. My heart breaks for her and Twitter seemed to share the same sentiment.
Oh Abbie babe x. My heart breaks for you. You’re allowed to let this hurt. You gave your all #BachelorAu

Seeing as this is my last Bachelor Twitter recap of the year, I thought I’d bless you with my favourite tweet of the night that made me weep.
