Bachelor’s Terrible Girl Choosing Skills Is This Ad’s Entire Punchline

It’s one of the most awkward reality TV endings of all time: Bachelor proposes to girl, media blackout ensues, Bachelor and girl give separate interviews, and then Bachelor cries OH NO, I MADE A TERRIBLE MISTAKE, I LOVE BUT ANOTHER!

Making decisions. It’s hard stuff.

Blake Garvey, the ever so indecisive Bachelor from season two, is now starring in a series of ads about making ~the right decision the first time round~. Because while he can’t make the right decision about women, he can make the right one about cars, right? *fingers crossed*

Quick – someone get this man a rose and a Magic Eight Ball.

Check out the ad here:

It’s a curious decision by Fairfax to cast Blake as the face of their Drive.com.au ads – on the one hand, the joke / call to action writes itself, but on the other, Blake’s decision to dump Sam Frost was a terrible move, popularity wise, with Mumbrella reporting that he has a popularity rating of -61.

Meanwhile, Sam is probably counting every single one of her blessings at body swerving that relationship, and going giddy with power she stars on The Bachelorette.

And thus the cycle of reality life continues. Based on our currently increasing rate of reality shows about finding ~true love~, the divorce spectacular “Honey! I shrunk the assets” is likely mere months away.
