‘Bachelor In Paradise’ Fave Apollo Jackson Tipped To Be The Next Bachelor

Daily Mail have managed to uncover a new report in New Idea which pegs Apollo Jackson, hunky magician fave from Sophie Monk‘s Bachelorette and season one of Bachelor in Paradise, as next year’s Bachelor.

An insider told the tabloid that the casting of Jackson/the Tim Tam genie in the role meant they needed to “quietly lower[]” their lead’s minimum age from 28 down to 25.

Three of our six Aussie Bachelors, Tim Robards, Matty J and the Honey Badger, were 30 years old when looking for love on national TV. Blake Garvey and Richie Strahan were 31, and Sam Wood was ancient in reality TV terms at 34.

Apparently producers are looking for a “safe bet“, who, unlike Cummins, won’t drop both of the final two at the end of the series. Instead they’re looking for someone to restore the reputation of the franchise/our faith in true love.

Producers took a risk with Nick and that’s backfired dramatically. Apollo is a tried and tested talent and they feel like he is a safe bet for ratings.

In the wake of Todd King‘s very upsetting Bachelorette dumping, and a public call to make him the next Bachelor, a spokesperson for Network Ten told the Daily Mail: “Casting is now open for The Bachelor Australia, but no decisions have been made yet.

On Thursday night, the Bachelor Insty shared a public callout for potential leads, starring Cupid himself, Osher Günsberg, encouraging people to nominate their mates as well as apply themselves for the role.
